Certified Hotel Broker
Hotel Brokers International recognizes the need for brokers to receive continuing education. As a result, in 1994 Hotel Brokers International developed the Certified Hotel Broker (CHB) program - the only certification program in the hotel brokerage industry. The CHB designation distinguishes hotel brokers who have advanced their professionalism.
Candidates of the Certified Hotel Broker program complete a series of educational modules with review by an elite board of hotel investors and real estate professionals. The board evaluates the practical applications of course work including listing presentations, packaging and sales skills.
Candidate Eligibility Requirements
- Minimum of three years experience in hotel sales
- Act as primary listing and/or selling agent or hotel acquisition/disposition specialist in three transactions
- Licensed real estate broker or salesperson
